Pies Month by Month

Here are a few suggestions of pies that seem particularly appropriate for each month of the year. But feel free to make them any time you please!

Meringue Pie Slices

A slice of lemon meringue pie. Yum!

January

It's cold here in Concord, Massachusetts, often snowy, and post-holiday blahs have set in. What's called for is a festive pie. I like meringue-topped pies in the winter.

February

Still cold, but there's hope. We need a Cheery Cherry Pie in honor of George Washington, and we'll continue with the citrus theme.
