Where would America be without Apple Pie? Living in New England, it’s an annual fall ritual to go to a local orchard and pick apples.

Since it’s so much fun and so easy, we always pick lots, and then have a great time figuring out different creative ways to use them.

Our Apple Pie Bake-Off is also a treasured tradition, with three families each making different apple desserts. Here are some of our favorites.

Apple Pie

An American favorite, popular year round and from coast to coast

Apple Clafouti

A French peasant dessert with the bonus of requiring no crust!

Apple-Cranberry-Walnut Pie

Want a hearty, sweet-tart pie with crunch? This is it!

Apple Crisp

Another crustless recipe, easy to make and sure to please.

Apple Peanut Butter Pie

I always look to try something new when we have our annual apple pie bake off. This went over well with the "judges."

Apple Pecan Crunch Pie

A yummy, texture-full combination of apples and pecans, with a crumble crust.

Tarte Tatin

A 100 year-old French recipe with its own web site! Both authentic and non-authentic recipes provided

Apple Pizza

Delight the kids (and adults) with this different approach to apple pie

Apple-Rhubarb

One of my favorite spring pies is Strawberry Rhubarb Pie. For a little variety, I tried Rhubarb Apple Pie, and found it delicious. Let’s hear it for rhubarb season!
