In developing PieChef.com I came across the web site of the American Pie Council. Imagine my delight when I learned that National Pie Day is January 23! Here’s how their web site describes it: “Created by the American Pie Council, National Pie Day is dedicated to the celebration of pie. "As part of our American heritage, this day is a perfect opportunity to pass on the love and enjoyment of pie eating and pie making to future generations.” So I say, what better day to make a pie! If you’ve never made a pie, why not take a deep breath and decide to join the club on January 23? If you’re an experienced pie chef, delight your family with a favorite pie. This is sure to be a sacred holiday in my household!
